Alejandro Escovedo is coming to Knuckleheads on March 21

Alejandro Escovedo Kansas City can get pretty lucky now and then. Case in point: As of now, Austin punk/Tex-Mex/roots/badass rock star Alejandro Escovedo only has one show lined up outside the NYC area next year, and it’s at Knuckleheads. Plus, it’s only $18.50, which would be $18.50 very well spent, friends. You might want to get your tickets early. Categories:…

Kansas City’s restaurant history, a la carte

The year 2013 will kick off with a new restaurant in a historic location: Sosa’s 39th Street Diner will take over the building at 3906 Waddell that served as the home for Nichols Lunch – for several generations, it was Kansas City’s favorite 24-hour…

Tony Dungy will not be coaching the Kansas City Chiefs

Chef Aaron Sanchez shows Lifehacker how he works

Sanchez needs to be tech-savvy to keep up with life outside the kitchen. Chefs aren’t just freaks about kitchen gadgets. Some tweet while they stir. Some use iPads as low-budget intercoms between kitchens, and some simply can’t stop getting sauce on their smartphones. Lifehacker talked to Aaron Sanchez, the chef and partner at Mestizo in Leawood, about the technology that…
