Inmate commits suicide in Johnson County jail

A Johnson County Sheriff’s deputy found 37-year-old Darrell Morrison hanging in his cell in the New Century Adult Detention Center around 6:45 a.m. Monday. Deputies and an on-duty nursing staff members tried lifesaving measures and Med-Act responded to the scene, but Morrison was pronounced dead. Man charged with assaulting a woman that he was convicted of raping in 1986

A man convicted of raping, sodomizing and sexually assaulting a woman in 1986 is now charged with physically assaulting her 23-years later. Jackson County prosecutors charged 54-year-old Donnell L.
