Three of Operation Rescue’s ‘whistle blowers’ are convicted felons
Operation Rescue is annoying Nebraskans this weekend. They don’t care much for LeRoy Carhart’s doctoring, so they’re attacking his practices. This is so familiar. Now, Operation Rescue is latching onto four of Carhart’s former employees. All fired or laid off. Bet they’re not holding a grudge. Operation Rescue claims: The women have made allegations that unlicensed staff illegally performed medical…

Lynn Jenkins’ search for a ‘great white hope’: Day 9
Kansas Congresswoman Lynn “Where the white folks at?” Jenkins gave MSNBC’s hyperbolic liberal Keith Olbermann ammunition with her 1900s-era call for a “great white hope” to defeat African-American World Heavyweight Champion Jack Johnson. Oh, wait, she was talking about President Barack Obama — a century later. Anyway, Olbermann wasn’t satisfied with Jenkins’ apology. Let it rip, Keith. Visit msnbc.com for…

Rockhurst frat makes neighbors long for days of living next to drug dealers

It’s so bad that one neighbor said he missed the days when the house belonged to…
Bike-a-day: Riverfront Heritage Trail
%{}% Biking in Kansas City doesn’t so much require a hard-headed sense of road entitlement as a spirit of adventure. With enough gumption and time, it’s possible to stitch together the disjointed threads of a few different bike paths. Today’s example: The Riverfront Heritage Trail. It’s 10 or so miles (one-way) of well-signed, on-street/off-street path that begins in the Summit…
