Truman to host Snail Mail and more for 2nd annual KC Tennants benefit
Friday, Nov. 17th will be an all-timer as Snail Mail, Caleb Hearon, and others will converge at the Truman for the 2nd annual benefit show for KC Tenants. KC Tenants is a non-profit, union organization created and ran by tenants. The aim of the organization is to ensure that all Kansas City resident has access to safe and affordable housing.
Proceeds from the event will go back towards KC Tenants as they continue to fight for city-wide residents. For Tara Raghuveer, a representative of KC Tenants, the event is a great way to unite the community.
“We’re really grateful to have the support of artists like Caleb Hearon and Waxahatchee and their friends who are aligned with the union and want to support the work that we do,” Raghuveer says. “We hope that the people of Kansas City show up both to support the union, but also celebrate these incredible artists and their love for our community.”
