Succotash introduces outdoor seating, new menu

Beth Barden, owner of the Dutch Hill “bruncheonette” Succotash, has opened her “patio” dining area: three outdoor tables on the sidewalk on the west side of the building and another three near the herb garden on the north side. She has also introduced a new menu, featuring new vegetarian and gluten-free choices.
The new meatless items include a mushroom pate with goat cheese, pickled red onion and sun-dried tomato tapenade on a baguette and a “Super Vegan” sandwich of rosemary white-bean puree with portobello mushroom, spinach, sun-dried tomato tapenade, toasted walnuts and slivered red onion on basil-brushed Tuscan bread. A new “Dagweed” — that’s right, Dagweed — features a house-made mixed-bean burger with spring greens, grilled succotash, tomato and choice of cheese.
