No, not the Thai Place…it’s the Thai Homeplace

A popular brand name is worth a lot of spring rolls and Tiger Cry beef. When restaurateur Ann Liberda was forced — reportedly by the Kansas Revenue Department — to sell at least one of her popular Thai Place restaurants this year, the new owners of the venue at 11838 Quivira didn’t get to keep the name of the restaurant.

But those owners, husband-and-wife Werachone and Supamas Singhai, didn’t want to lose the customer base that Liberda had built in her years operating this fourth Thai Place restaurant. So instead of a dramatic name change (like, say, Thai Me Up, Thai Me Down), they simply added a word: Home.
