You can put this visually sumptuous dessert in the category of “Almost too pretty to eat.” The silky chocolate mousse torte — there’s a bigger version served only by the slice, but it lacks the jewel-box quality of the individual portion — is one of the signature sweets created by pastry chef James Holmes, owner of Overland Park’s Napoleon Bakery. It’s not a very big pastry, but like this bakery’s namesake, it has a larger-than-life quality. And it’s decadently rich, too.
