Kansas City zombie series ‘Dead Wait’ launches Wednesday
Zombies are the working class of the monster world. Plentiful, cheap, and overworked. Which is partly why zombies remain useful to low-budget horror filmmakers everywhere.
Today, a new zombie Web series filmed in Kansas City and St. Joseph posts its first episode at www.dead-wait.com. The story follows a shut-in paranoid, who has spent years preparing for the fall of civilization, but neglected to prepare for the dead rising from the grave. Fans of local theater will spot a lot of regulars (including Vanessa Severo, who this publication named Best Kansas City Actress in 2009) fending off the bloodthirsty horde.
