James Kraig Kahler, accused of killing wife and daughters, could face death penalty if convicted

The state of Kansas would like to kill James Kraig Kahler if he’s convicted of killing his estranged wife, two daughters and wife’s grandmother on the day after
Thanksgiving 2009 in a home outside of Burlingame, Kansas.
Kahler, 48, is charged with four counts of capital
murder
for the killings of his 44-year-old ex-wife, Karen; the couple’s 18- and 16-year-old daughters, Emily and
Lauren; and Karen’s 89-year-old grandmother, Dorothy
Wight.
