I have been to venues all ’round the KC area, but Tuesday’s show was my first time catching a show here at Morton Amphitheater since it’s only been open since June. I gotta say, it’s like they know how to host a party! For a hot July evening in Missouri heat, it was perfect. Those carne asada tacos hit the spot, cold drinks being served—what’s not to like?

I picked a great show to experience at Morton with Tyler Childers. I honestly can’t believe that every time I see Childers live, he somehow keeps gaining steam. He is a phenomenal performer that grabbed everyone’s smile from the first walkout and kept us all singing along all night. One of my absolute favorite moments was him swinging out a remote stage halfway across the amphitheater to perform a few stripped-down classics for everyone way in the back! Love when the artist gives attention to all the fans, not just the ones who paid to be up front.
