Incoming concerts: Jill Scott and Trey Songz each to the Midland, Michael Franti and Spearhead to Crossroads KC, Matchbox 20 with Counting Crows to Starlight
Summer concert announcements are clogging our inboxes today, adding to an already-impressive summer show lineup. First, the golden-voiced Jill Scott is coming to the Midland on Thursday, July 6 in continued support of her 2015 album, Woman. Tickets range from $35-$130 and go on sale this Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m. via the Midland’s website. Another act appearing at the Midland is R&B singer Trey Songz, who will perform on Wednesday, May 24 in support of his brand-new album, “Tremaine.” A presale for Pandora subscribers goes live on Wednesday morning (more info on that here), while tickets ($30-$100) go on sale to the public on Friday at 10 a.m. via AXS.
Michael Franti and Spearhead announced a summer date as well – see them Tuesday, July 11 at Crossroads KC. These tickets also go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via Crossroad KC’s wesbite.
Finally, Matchbox 20 and Counting Crows are teaming up for the “Brief History of Everything” tour at Starlight Theatre on Wednesday, September 27. Presale tickets for that show will be available to fan club members of both bands (more info at Matchbox 20’s website and Counting Crows’ website); general public sales also begin this Friday at 10 a.m. via Starlight’s website, including 4 for $99 packages.
