Help finance the new film from the makers of American Hardcore
Steve Blush and Paul Rachman, the duo behind the well-received documentary of ’80s punk, American Hardcore, are now at work on their next project. Lost Rockers aims to cover “great musicians overlooked by pop culture.”
The Kickstarter page for the project aims to raise $15,000 by May 19. Judging by the fact that they’ve gotten over $6,000 thus far, I don’t see them having any issues getting the project done. Says the press release, “The first few interviews have been shot with many more to come, including famous rock stars commenting on their lesser-known contemporaries.” Those interviews thus far are with reggae artist Dr. Israel, as well as underground west coast folker Jake Holmes and New York punk trailblazer David Peel.

You can see more info (including a very basic teaser) using the little widget above. It’ll give you the rundown as to what sorts of neat stuff you’ll get if you choose to help fund the project. For the low, low price of a measly grand, you can get an associate producer credit.
