Billy Goat reunion show

Billy Goat originally hailed from somewhere in Texas, but Kansas City crowds loved the funkalicious outfit so much that the band packed up and relocated. The Goat ruled the Midwest in the early ’90s, regularly blazing regional stages with an over-the-top live show that featured band-member and audience nudity, topless dancers, chocolate syrup and more drums than a Ludwig factory. Percussive jams such as “Clothes Off” and “Fuck More, Bitch Less” only fueled these combustible elements. Ultimately Billy Goat’s trendy funk-rock hybrid owed too much to the Chili Peps and 311, but it was easily among the must-see live acts of its time. Whatever vocalist Mike Dillon (who now fronts Hairy Apes BMX) has in store for the reunion show, there definitely won’t be a dull moment.
