Would you eat seafood from Louisiana?

The source of the fish is proving as important as the actual fish these days. Serious Eats has a post, in what will we be a continuing series, about whether seafood from Louisiana is safe. They don’t offer a clear answer to that question but do acknowledge that the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing board has been working hard (on campaigns like letting food bloggers tour shrimp and crab operations) since the Gulf oil spill to change the public’s perception of the area’s oil-stained waters.
Still, it’s one thing to look at beautiful pictures of shellfish and another to actually put an oyster in your mouth. When it comes down to the plate, would you eat seafood from Louisiana?
