Who has the best wine list in the city?

Wine can ruin a perfectly good tab or elevate an otherwise very pedestrian meal. Wine saves more bad dates, bad comedians and bad chefs than anything else.

Wine Spectator recently awarded 15 Kansas City-area restaurants for having excellent wine lists. Osteria Il Centro, JJ’s and Starker’s were among the 833 restaurants recognized in the August issue. But that still doesn’t answer the question of what place in the city has the best wine list. So, dollar for dollar, cork for cork, what’s your pick?
