Sometimes it feels like everyone gets a hankering for the same dish at the same time. But when the wait is close to an hour, suddenly that clever thought you had for dinner on Friday night seems a lot less clever.

Fat City reader and Tips for Improving Your Tips author David Hayden raised a good point in a recent conversation.

“With the rebound in the economy, people are eating out a lot more, it seems. This leads to them running into a wait at the front door of restaurants. People seem to have forgotten what that was like,” Hayden says.
