We love calamari with lots of interesting sauces

Calamari — the delectable squid dish best-known on most local menus in its crispy, fried incarnation — has become so familiar that McDonald’s and Home Town Buffet seem to be the only restaurant chains not serving it. But not all calamari appetizers are created equal.
In Fat City, we’re particularly fond of this version: plump, slightly chewy petals of squid dipped in a feathery-light tempura batter, flash-fried and served with a colorful palette of sauces: spicy mayo, hot mustard, sweet chili and sweet-and-sour.
