The word is out on La Quercia’s bacon: Eat as much as you can right now

On occasion, we get one over on the coasts. And it’s usually because of a farmer or small-batch producer that just happens to be in our backyard.
The Atlantic has a piece about La Quercia bacon out of Norwalk, Iowa, calling it “the year’s best new bacon.” So, while Kansas Citians may have known for a few years about what is arguably the country’s finest cured meats (the Tamworth country-cured bacon is a new product), we better get used to the idea that we’re going to have to share.
