The winners of a DIY cocktails and mocktails contest

It’s about time the do-it-yourself community got together to benefit humankind — by designing the best cocktail and mocktail. The winners for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic mixtures in a Cocktails vs. Mocktails Contest were just announced on Instructables, which co-sponsored the contest with ThinkGeek.

If you need a time-suck and party inspiration, you should page through the contest finalists, where you’ll find such creations as the apple cider martini (a martini glass made from an apple and cinnamon stick, filled with spiked apple cider) to the color-changing martini (a dry martini that changes from blue to fuschia at it chills).
