The Thirsty Girl takes Coffee Girl’s juices on the road

Coffee Girl’s Cafe has always been the happy marriage of a smoothie shop and a coffee bar. And now that marriage has produced a fledgling business. The Thirsty Girl, a beverage-centric truck, gets rolling next week, with a drink menu that has been in development over the past several years at the Waldo coffee shop. Coffee Girl’s owner Lindsey Patterson has retrofitted a horse trailer to become a rolling smoothie operation that will serve fresh-squeezed juices and iced coffee.
The bright-orange trailer will debut in the Coffee Girl’s Cafe parking lot from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Drinks are 20 percent off for its maiden nonvoyage. The Thirsty Girl will also be at RiverFest, from 4 to 11 p.m. Thursday, July 4, and at the West Bottoms Warehouse Weekend, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
