The Roasterie’s cafe in Leawood tops the list of upcoming openings

There is a lot percolating at the One Nineteen Shopping Center (119th Street and Roe) these days. The Roasterie is continuing to build out its cafe — expected to open in November — and The Kansas City Business Journal reports that two additional restaurants are expected to open in the next six months.

La Bodega will open a sister restaurant at the Leawood development in October, serving lunch and dinner. The tapas bar on Southwest Boulevard is known for sangria and small plates, earning The Pitch‘s Best Happy Hour in 2009. Adjacent to La Bodega will be Fo Thai, “a Thai concept that includes a modern Asian flavor,” which is slated to open in early 2011.
