The Rieger & Port Fonda are collaborating on dinner Saturday

Not all collaborations are created equally. Case in point: The Rieger Hotel Grill & Exchange and Port Fonda are getting together to cook you dinner Saturday at 1924 Main.

The five-course meal features boudin balls with remoulade; sweet potato brandade with grilled pretzel bread and radish salad; pumpkin fettuccine with sweet breads, sage brown butter, pecorino and pine nuts; smoked lamb shank with duck-fat-fried potatoes, roasted peppers and cippolini; roasted pork belly with creamed hominy, Brussels sprouts, bacon broth and salsa macha; and fried apple pie.

Port Fonda’s Patrick Ryan was named The Pitch’s Best Chef of 2012, and the Rieger’s Howard Hanna earned the nod in the Readers’ Choice poll. The dinner starts at 5 p.m. and costs $100 with wine pairings. You can make reservations by calling 816-216-6462.
