The return of the gummy bear

Gummy bears are like college roommates — they come in and out of your life with no advance notice. But even if it’s been a few years, you’re still glad to see them.

It’s been a big week for gummy bears, actually. And that’s in large part to Vat 19’s introduction of the five-pound gummy bear. The mildly deformed blue, green or red candy — advertised as the equivalent of 1,400 regular-sized gummies — will set you back $29.95. However, Vat 19 warns of extreme attachment:

While it’s quite common to treat your new bundle of deliciousness like a newborn baby, we must remind you that a World’s Largest Gummy Bear is specifically designed for consumption. Nothing makes it happier than being eaten.

The disturbing image of a man lugging his giant gummy bear in a baby bjorn aside, this is a challenge to tackle when they come off of back order on September 8. Entertainment Weekly raises the question of where do you start?
