The remnants of the oldest winery in the world discovered in Armenia

The year 4100 B.C. wasn’t just a good one for wines. It might have been the first year for large-scale production. National Geographic reports that the earliest known winery in the world, dating back more than 6,000 years, has been discovered in Armenia.
What are believed to be the remains of a fermentation vat and wine press were discovered in the same cave that a 5,500-year-old leather moccasin was recently unearthed. Oenophiles will forever remember the name of the tiny village of Areni, Armenia, which is already known for its wine production.
