The Joan Rivers Diet

The new documentary film Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, which celebrates the life of the 77-year-old comedienne, QVC saleswoman and plastic surgery devotee , opens at Tivoli Cinemas July 16.

In the meantime, fans of the outspoken stand-up comedy legend can follow her unique diet, as recently reported in a New York Magazine article by Rivers’ friend Jonathan Van Meter. Joan’s way of keeping trim, she says, is to eat anything she wants until 3 p.m. If she has dinner after that, she opens a box of Altoids breath mints next to her plate and eats the mints, not the real food.
