The Great Pumpkin Smash and three other events vie for your weekend dollars

You may have broken a pumpkin or two in your misspent youth, but you’ve

got nothing on an elephant.

Watch elephants, rhinos, hippos and

meerkats interact with pumpkins at the Kansas City Zoo’s Great Pumpkin Smash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 6. The Gorilla smashes pumpkins at noon, the tigers are up at 2:30 p.m. and the polar bear provides the grand finale at 3 p.m.
