The five dive-bar features of the future

Dive bars are refreshingly low-tech. The jukebox can be outdated. Bar-top popcorn machines tend to be properly crusted with grease. And the chairs have seemingly been stolen from all of our grandparent’s houses — one mismatched vinyl seat at a time.
Wired recently reimagined the dive bar with robot bouncers capable of tossing a patron flagged by a retinal scan. It’s a fun idea, even if it isn’t likely to happen anytime soon. But it got me thinking about what changes could be down the road for dive bars.
