Tavern at Mission Farms opens next Wednesday

Tavern at Mission Farms’ sleek new dining room.

Kelly Manning and partner Anthony Zarate are just about ready to unveil their second restaurant. Tavern at Mission Farms (10681 Mission), an offshoot of Tavern in the Village, debuts Wednesday, September 12.

Tavern is opening in the former Avenues Bistro space in Leawood (Avenues Bistro continues to operate its restaurant in Brookside). The original location opened in February 2011, earning a Best Of that year for its burger.
