Sunday morning Eggs Benedict (Update)

Update (9:54, 5/18): Here’s the answer to this week’s Where Am I Eating? quiz.

Here were the clues:

The restaurant that serves the featured plate of Eggs Benedict does a very nice Sunday brunch and, even better, has some of the most attractive servers in Kansas City bringing out the plates. That includes former local stage actress Kirsten Carver (does anyone remember her sensational turn in Changin’ Lanes at the Unicorn Theatre?) and a studmuffin named Trey who recently de-camped from Jack Gage American Tavern to take up a tray at this more-established midtown venue.

The answer? Grand Street Cafe. The $14.95 brunch price includes visits to a table loaded down with breakfast pastries, fruit, pasta salad, cold peel-and-eat shrimp, roasted red pepper hummus and pita wedges, Caesar salad and various sweets.
