Life is sweeter when you’ve got a mouthful of strawberries. Dive into the Vaile Strawberry Festival on Saturday, at Vaile Mansion in Independence (1500 North Liberty). Stuff yourself with strawberry treats, or other eats, as you wander among vintage cars and craft booths and listen to music. The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. A tour of the museum grounds costs $6.
