Stone Hill Winery awarded the Governors Cup

I don’t know if wineries raise championship banners, but Stone Hill Winery clearly has some bragging rights. The winery in Hermann, Missouri, won the Governor’s Cup — given for the best of show at the Missouri Wine Competition — for the second year in a row.

The competition to determine the best wine in Missouri was held last week, with 242 entries from 35 wineries across the state. It was the 2009 Vignoles from Stone Hill that was named the best sweet white wine and ultimately selected as the best of 12 category winners.
