Starbucks’ Frappuccino happy hour this week

The mid-afternoon milkshake has some competition this week with Starbucks happy hour. The promotion — half-price frappuccinos from 3 to 5 p.m. — lasts until Sunday, May 16.

There are a number of locations in the Kansas City area, which you can find via the Web site or courtesy of a free iPhone application.

Starbucks is promoting its new customization options for the iced coffee drink (read: coffee milkshake).

Two days after the Starbucks’ offer ends, you’ll be able to get a Coffee Coolata at the second Dunkin’ Donuts in Overland Park. The store at 7446 Metcalf (the corner of 75th and Metcalf) opens at 5 a.m. on May 19.
