Snow and ice can’t stop Sally and David Calvin from selling their Valentine products

Sally and David Calvin — the entrepreneurial couple from Widgeonwood Farm outside of Jefferson City — are best-known for selling their homemade candies, jams, salsas and such every Saturday during the summer months at the Prairie Village Shopping Center.

The couple have also made it a tradition to haul their culinary creations to Kansas City a couple of weeks before Valentine’s Day for a holiday market. The blizzard of 2011 forced them to cancel last Saturday’s sale, but Sally Calvin called us here in Fat City to say they’re still coming this Saturday.
