Second KC Organics Farmers Market now open on Wednesdays

Not many people can pinpoint exactly where everything on the dinner table came from. But tomorrow night, Leawood residents can purchase everything from their morning coffee to late-night dessert and know where every product originated.
KC Organics debuted a second farmers market at Barkley Square in Leawood’s Park Place development last Wednesday. The new weekly market (Wednesdays until October 14) joins the more-established offering in Minor Park (Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. until October 17).
“We had a great opening day — and we’re hoping to turn this into a long-term relationship. Everything depends on what happens right now,” says Peter Stauffacher, the market manager for KC Organics.
The market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the open-air pavilion in the heart of the Park Place (117th Street and Nall) development.

“This is a group and spot that is community-oriented and features a majority of locally owned businesses,” says Stauffacher.
