Slow Food Kansas City’s Mariann Vandenberg says tomorrow’s fundraising event might be the area’s first-ever culinary garage sale. And she says it’s going to be big.
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. September 18, the local chapter of the educational nonprofit hopes to raise funds for Broadmoor Technical School and Kansas City Community Garden — whose missions are in line with Slow Food U.S.A.’s eat-local goals.
