Saber! A Celebration for JJ’s and other weekend possibilities

The tragedy at JJ’s Restaurant has brought out the best of the restaurant community. And many of the best will be at Saber! A Celebration for JJ’s, from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 7. The event at the American Restaurant (200 E. 25th St.) features a silent auction and tasting stations with goodies from Craig Adcock of Jude’s Rum Cakes, Bluestem, Café Sebastienne, Happy Gillis, Carter Holton, Room 39 and the Rieger.

Tickets cost $35 for those in the service industry (with proof of employment) and $75 for general admission. The money raised will be donated to the JJ’s Staff Assistance Fund.
