Rob Dalzell now working in California

Rob Dalzell is now in Catalina: the island, not the dressing |
Restaurateur Rob Dalzell, the celebrity chef-owner of the now-closed downtown Kansas City restaurants 1924 Main and Souperman (his Chefburger and Pizza Bella concepts are now being operated by other owners) has been hired as the executive chef for the new Avalon Grill restaurant on Catalina Island in California; the new restaurant concept is scheduled to be open in May.
The press release announcing Dalzell’s appointment does not mention his Kansas City restaurants by name and downplays Dalzell’s reported ownership of those venues:
“…Dalzell was executive chef and food and beverage director for the Eponine Restaurant Group in his home state of Missouri where he opened and operated eateries for the group.”
Dalzell recently held an estate sale at his midtown Kansas City home after his restaurant empire in downtown Kansas City imploded.
