Restaurants using social media to entertain customers, too

This week, Fat City reported on a new texting service, Text My Food, which permits restaurant patrons to use their cell phones or electronic devices to send messages to their servers right there in the restaurant: The message is posted on a computer screen in the kitchen or in a location near the kitchen door.
The New York Times reports on other ways that social media is being used to keep fickle restaurant customers “happy and loyal.”
