‘Recipeasy’ is now part of our food lexicon

We’ve lamented the overuse of terms like ‘artisan’ and ‘craft’ in this space, so I feel that it’s only appropriate to recognize when a new food term is created that shows some genuine flair.

Hormel has coined the phrase, “Recipeasy,” as a blanket term for the myriad uses for its chili and processed-meat products. And it had a good reason for the new name. Recipeasies (the plural of Recipeasy?) are the equivalent of the Sandra Lee cooking school for dummies. Open can. Tear open package. Add fire. Do not set package on fire.

I won’t eat your recipes, Hormel, but I salute the effort.
