RA Sushi got hot for Mardi Gras

Let’s put it this way: The sushi wasn’t the only thing raw at RA Sushi’s Mardi RA party last night.

The upscale sushi restaurant, a see-and-see-be-seen JoCo staple in the Park Place shopping center, lifted its top and let it all hang out for Fat Tuesday. The raucous Mardi Gras-themed celebration started with happy hour at 3 p.m. and lasted until 1 a.m. Colorful caution tape that read “Flying Bead Zone” stretched across one wall; glittering masks and strands of beads bedecked guests and tables; and the space between tables turned into a dance floor.
