R Bar’s Alex Pope up for Food & Wine‘s Best New Chef Award

Joy Jacobs, the owner of the R Bar, the restaurant and entertainment venue in the West Bottoms, is very excited that her chef, Alex Pope — the winner of “Best Chef” in last year’s Pitch “Best of Kansas City” issue — is in the running for Food & Wine’s “The People’s Best New Chef 2011: Midwest” Award.
