PotPie’s steak chips are taterific

Some side dishes are plate stealers. They’re simply too good not to be given their own featured menu item. So, PotPie, consider this a request to expand your chalkboard menu to include a heaping mound of your steak chips.
There were eight delicious fried rounds that accompanied my chicken burger at lunch yesterday. Common decency forced me to give away two to my lunch companion — the first immediately invoked a request for a second. That left me with six of the cookie-thick chips that could be the perfect intersection between fry and potato chip.
With the sweetness of the starchy inside and a slight earthiness from the skin, PotPie has invented potato candy. And in the process made me remember why great fries can sometimes outshine the burger.
