Poston Donuts is getting out of the donut business

Poston Donuts & Bakery (2131 South 34th Street) will stop selling doughnuts on July 2, a year after the doughnut shop and bakery opened in Kansas City, Kansas. The mom-and-pop shop isn’t closing, just changing directions, according to a post on its Facebook page this past Saturday:

We would like to make an announcement about the DONUTS at Poston Donuts……Shari and Les Poston are planning to retire due to unforseen personal health issues as of July 2nd. That will be the last day that you will be able to get donuts from the bakery as of today. Liz PostonCakes by Liz will still be in the bakery baking!!
