Platte County Fair and other weekend possibilities

Take a break from eating your fruits and vegetables and enjoy the fruits of another kind of summer harvest: the county fair. The 150th annual Platte County Fair runs through Saturday, July 27, at the Platte County Fairgrounds in Tracy, Missouri. There are carnival rides, live music, a demolition derby and all the fried food you can handle. Admission is free Tuesday night; after that, it’s $10 for adults and free for children 12 years old and younger.
