Pigs on the highway force closure of I-435 ramp yesterday

It always seems like some place very far away when you see images of motorists forced to stop and wait for livestock to clear the road. But don’t tell that to drivers in Claycomo, who were hoping to take the ramp from I-435 N to I-35 N yesterday morning.
KMBC has the story of a truck carrying 720 pigs that apparently tried to take a curve too fast and tipped. After the accident, 35 to 50 pigs escaped (depending on whether you ask the Missouri Highway Patrol or KMBC) and had to be corralled in the early morning slush and snow.
