Pie Five Pizza Co. opens today in Overland Park

Overland Park, meet Pie Five Pizza Co. The first area location for the fast-casual pizza chain based out of Fort Worth, Texas, opens today in the former iEats space at 13366 Metcalf. Pie Five works like a sub shop, in that all the 9-inch pizzas are customized, with a choice of four crusts (including gluten-free), 21 toppings and seven sauces. They also serve salads and cookie pies.

Dave Goebel, the former CEO of Applebee’s, signed a 10-location franchise deal with the chain, which is growing as fast as its promise of a personal pie in five minutes. There are currently 13 other locations nationwide. Pie Five’s Overland Park joint in the Shoppes at Deer Creek Woods is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
