P.F. Chang’s settles local racial discrimination suit

Last June, Pitch columnist David Martin wrote about the case of Linletta Woodruff, a former server at P.F. Chang’s China Bistro on the Country Club Plaza. She filed a lawsuit against the Arizona-based restaurant chain, claiming that management permitted white servers to profile their customers by requesting that black guests and other minorities not be seated in their stations.

Woodruff’s case is still pending trial (in August). But this afternoon, P.F. Chang’s settled another racial-discrimination lawsuit, this one slated to go to trial this week in Independence.
