Parkville flooding forces Farmers Market to move

Now that Parkville’s popular English Landing Park is, mostly, underwater — the Wednesday and Saturday farmers market held in the covered stalls in the parking lot adjacent to the park has been moved to a new location. The farmers and vendors now set up their wares in a space on the north side of Parkville City Hall at 8880 Clark Avenue, near the Parkville Commons Shopping Center.

It’s not that the old site — the English Landing parking lot — isn’t still dry, it is. But the contaminated water smells pretty bad. The park is closed until further notice.
