Overland Park Farmers Market opens this weekend

You don’t have to feel that scurvy is a possibility anymore. Remember what it’s like to have a fridge full of fruits and vegetables by heading over to the opening of the downtown Overland Park Farmers Market. The first day of the market — west of Marty between 79th and 80th streets — is Saturday. On June 1, vendors will start selling goods on Wednesdays as well, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This Saturday, the market will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. While you’re there, stop in for an orange roll at the Clock Tower Bakery & Cafe; they’re big enough for lunch or dinner.
