Now you have plans for the weekend

You need plans. Fat City has a recycle bin full of listings. In this post, all our problems are solved.

Corn dogs, fried dough, food comas: It must almost be time for the Missouri State Fair. The annual gathering of livestock and live acts in Sedalia kicked off on Thursday and runs through Sunday, August 22.

The Mizzou Watermelon eating competition is at 2 p.m. tomorrow and Wine Tasting 101 ($5) presented by the Missouri Wine & Grape Board is at 4 p.m. Admission is $8. You can bring your own coolers, just not your own alcohol.
